The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the premier business travel organisation in Europe – today announced positive results from its innovative Give & Take® approach to structured networking at its forthcoming European conference, The 3rd Dimension. Delegates have been asked during registration to identify topics where they need assistance and topics where they could provide assistance to other delegates. The organisation is providing the environment and tools for delegates to exchange information on these topics at the event in the Netherlands in September, in order to increase the value of the time spent face-to-face.
The topics identified where assistance is needed are “Airline Unbundling Solutions” (22%), “Benchmark Savings” (20%), “Airline Global v Local Contracting” (19%), plus knowledge on “Asia” (19%).
On the flip side, the three of the top topics identified where assistance could be given are “Benchmark Savings” (15%), “Airline Global versus Local Contracting” (16%) and “Asia” (11%). The organisation is still calling on those in the industry with expertise in “Airline Unbundling Solutions” who could provide assistance on this topic.
The organisers have also identified that those wishing to learn more from buyers and suppliers about “Successful TMC Partnerships”, “Hotel Supplier Management” and “Expense Management Process” could benefit greatly as these three subjects have been named as three other topics most delegates have knowledge to give, at 21%, 15% and 14%, respectively.
Talking about the response so far, Paul Tilstone, managing director of GBTA Europe, said: “We are absolutely delighted with these responses as it validates the approach we have taken. It’s not surprising to see which subjects are coming top, but at least there’s plenty of people to give insights to others where it’s clearly needed. Welcome to the era of self-help!”
