GBTA announces additions to advisory board for France

The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) — the voice of the global business travel industry — today announced the names of business travel and meetings professionals who have been invited to join the French Advisory Board to lead the growth of GBTA in France.

The GBTA France Advisory Board will provide guidance and leadership for GBTA in France to ensure its buyer and supplier members receive a regionalized programme of resources, training and education, market research and networking events.
GBTA has appointed a diverse selection of buyers and suppliers from the world of travel and business meetings to represent the full value chain, including the business traveler.
Joining Carole Poillerat, Group Purchasing Director Meetings & Events for AstraZeneca, on the Advisory Committee, are:

In addition, GBTA announced that Monsieur Yann Le Goff, director of Sourcing for Sidel, has stepped down from the role of President of GBTA France having reached the end of his two year term. Mr. Le Goff will, however, continue to support the development of GBTA in France as an active member.

Speaking of his departure, Paul Tilstone, senior vice president of global operations for GBTA said, “His contribution and energy have been immense and without him we would not have been able to launch GBTA in France. Yann has helped Carole to ensure we have a great leadership team in place that will perfectly meet market expectations and provide the content expected by the Industry.”

Mr. Tilstone announced that Carole Poillerat, currently Vice President of GBTA France is appointed as interim president, pending the appointment of a new president for the region.

Ms. Poillerat, on accepting the role as acting president of GBTA France said, “It is an honor to lead this Advisory Board and represent GBTA France. I am absolutely confident in the strength, the will and ability of the team to develop the right environment for the entire business travel and meetings industry here in France, and assist all members to GBTA around the world to better understand our local issues.”
