Garuda Indonesia receives first Boeing 777-300ER

Boeing and Garuda Indonesia celebrated the arrival of the airline’s first 777-300ER in Jakarta.

The long-haul, twin-aisle airplane is the first of ten 777-300ERs delivered to the airline and is a key component of the Garuda Indonesia’s Quantum Leap fleet revitalisation program.

“The 777 is an extraordinary airplane that will bring a new level of experience for our first and business class passengers,” said Emirsyah Satar, president director, Garuda Indonesia.

The airline configured its new 777-300ERs with eight first-class suites, 38 business-class seats and 268 seats in economy class.

The aircraft is also equipped with in-flight internet connectivity.

“We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with Garuda Indonesia,” said Dinesh Keskar, senior vice president Asia Pacific and India Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

“The world’s elite airlines fly the 777 and I’m sure Garuda’s passengers will notice the difference from the moment they step on and see the new interior.”

The Boeing 777 is the world’s most successful twin-engine, long-haul airplane.

The 777-300ER extends the 777 family’s span of capabilities, bringing twin-engine efficiency and reliability to the long-range market.
