All exhibition visitors travelling with airberlin to this year’s International Tourism Exchange (ITB) in the German capital have reason to celebrate: airberlin will be serving the popular curried sausage known as Currywurst as a free snack on all domestic German flights to Berlin after 10:00 am from 5th to 8th March.

Back in 2012, airberlin served around 20,000 portions of the delicious sausage by the brand Sansibar free of charge on German domestic flights heading for the ITB.

However, flight guests who are not travelling to the ITB will of course also be able to enjoy some Currywurst. airberlin continues to be the only airline in Germany which offers guests in Economy Class the opportunity to purchase hot meals without the need to pre-order as well as offering free snacks and drinks.

A selection of different Sansibar gourmet meals is available on board all airberlin short and medium-haul flights of 90 minutes or longer. An even larger selection of Sansibar gourmet menus can be pre-ordered online at airberlin.com, through the airberlin Service Center or via a travel agent for short and medium-haul flights of 60 minutes or longer. In addition to Currywurst and specialities from around the world, a selection of vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan and lactose-free gourmet meals is available.
