Situated in the heart of Glasgow and just steps from Merchant City, award winning Fraser Suites Glasgow has opened its doors to a seven figure refurbishment programme that has transformed the acclaimed serviced apartments into a luxurious four star home from home experience.
Since work commenced last year all 98 apartments and public areas within the historic building have undergone a makeover to create luxurious and stylishly appointed suites and apartments offering contemporary surroundings with state-of-the-art appliances.
Guests will now benefit from Duravit bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations as well as bespoke kitchen areas by TMS Direct.
Heather McNamee, regional general manager, commented: “The unveiling of our refurbishment is really exciting - we are delighted to present the new-look Fraser Suites Glasgow.
“We have worked hard alongside Maxwell Green Design and Baxter Studio Architects to deliver the refurbishment, and VisitScotland has been very supportive advising on how to deliver the highest standards.
“We have upgraded the offering at Fraser Suites Glasgow to rival our international portfolio of 46 properties worldwide. We look forward to welcoming both leisure and business guests to enjoy our fabulous new facilities.”
Set within a beautifully renovated 1850s building that was once the city bank, Fraser Suites Glasgow has combined the building’s heritage with the latest in modern comfort.
With every room enjoying its own unique contemporary charm, on completion guests may choose to stay within the Ingram Suite or Glassford Suite on the executive fourth floor.
All 19 fourth floor suites are named after notable Glaswegian merchants celebrating the building’s Merchant City location.
Liz Buchanan, regional director of VisitScotland, said: “We would like to commend Fraser Suites Glasgow on their hard work and dedication in providing this level of investment into their serviced accommodation.
“Fraser Suites Glasgow offers four star accommodation at great value for money which is exactly what we want to offer visitors coming this year and in 2014 when Scotland welcomes the world for the Commonwealth Games and Scotland’s second Year of Homecoming”.
