Four Seasons Hotel Seattle invites all young guests to follow Larry the lost pup as he wanders through the Emerald City searching for his owner, Pete, in the Hotel’s new children’s activity book. ART Restaurant managers and chefs collaborated with John Skewes, Seattle-based creator and illustrator of the Larry Gets Lost™ picture book series, to produce a customised Larry program for the Hotel.
The property’s Larry Gets Lost in Seattle activity book is filled with the children’s menu, colouring pages, games and word puzzles. Guests under 12 are offered this new program in ART Restaurant and through in-room dining. Larry the dog also makes an appearance in custom placemats, berry lemonade Jones Soda bottles and a kid’s welcome amenity.
The children’s book Larry Gets Lost in Seattle was inspired during a ferryboat ride to Vashon Island. Equally moved by this local author and character, the ART Restaurant team at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle worked with Skewes to introduce this fun and educational look at downtown Seattle.
In a word puzzle, kids search for words such as “Lake Union,” “Fremont Troll” and “Art Museum.” A two-page spread with Larry in Pike Place Market is perfect for creative youths who love to colour. The neighbouring Hammering Man statue at Seattle Art Museum makes an appearance in a maze that Pete needs to complete to find Larry.
