Four Seasons Mauritius Hosts Mauritius Golf Masters at Anahita

Four Seasons Resort Mauritius Hosts the Mauritius Golf Masters at Anahita December 11-18, 2011. Resort invites fans to get into the swing with all the golf action and seven nights luxury accommodation in exclusive new package.

With a championship Ernie Els designed golf course, breathtaking oceanfront holes and glorious sunshine, where better to enjoy a round of golf with a pro than at Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita for this year’s Mauritius Golf Masters tournament?

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Mauritius Golf Masters at Anahita, the 2011 event will take place from December 11-18 and will feature 20 of the best-ranked players on the Allianz Tour and 10 invited players from the European Tour, including last year’s champion Nicolas Colsearts.

Staying in luxury villa accommodation at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita, guests will be able to unwind in the seclusion of tropical landscaped gardens or relax in their own private plunge pool. By day, guests will be able to enjoy a daily golfing program at Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita, while by night all Mauritius Golf Masters at Anahita guests will be hosted for evenings of fine dining and traditional cuisine at a number of different venues.

The 7,372 yard par 72 championship golf course is the inspiration of South African golf pro Ernie Els, and offers a total of six oceanfront holes along the stunning east Mauritius coastline. Intricately woven into the natural scenery and providing spectacular views of the lagoon and the mountains, the course is the only one in the Indian Ocean built to USGA standards (United States Golfing Association).

In addition to the professional tournament, the week-long competition will also offer several opportunities for amateurs to take to the greens, including two full days of pro-am competitions, plus an Alliance format (one amateur and one professional) or an Open Amateur competition (subscription fees apply).

The Mauritius Golf Masters at Anahita package includes seven nights’ accommodation in a luxury Garden Pool Villa; daily breakfast at the Resort’s Beau Champ restaurant; lunch each day at Le Club restaurant; and dinner each evening – including the final Gala Dinner.

Golfers wishing to take part in the amateur competitions can choose between a four day itinerary of Pro-Am and Alliance competitions or a four day itinerary of the Pro-Am and Open Amateur competition.
