Four Seasons Hotel Toronto announces opening date

For more than five decades, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has called the multicultural, bustling city of Toronto home. On Friday, October 5, 2012, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto will open its doors to guests from all over the world to welcome them into the company’s brand new flagship property, built and designed to showcase the next generation of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts properties worldwide. This opening date announcement is the first of a series of new releases the Hotel will make surrounding innovative features and services guests can expect.

“We greatly share in the anticipation surrounding the opening of this Hotel,” says Dimitrios Zarikos, regional vice president and general manager of the Hotel. “We look forward to welcoming our friends back to Yorkville this October.”

Soaring above the city’s skyline and located in the heart of Yorkville, Toronto’s shopping quarter, the property blends warm sophistication with spectacular design by Yabu Pushelberg. With design and the highest quality of construction as the Hotel’s main focus, every corner has been carefully considered. The main entrance features a “Victorian carpet” driveway; a spectacular Claude Cormier-designed rose garden and a large fountain towering four stories tall.

The landmark Hotel will offer an immaculately-designed two-story Spa, international dining options, flexible function rooms and glass-enclosed event spaces, and, of course, Four Seasons guest rooms. The 259 personalized accommodations include 42 suites that feature interactive tablets, lightning-speed WiFi, easy climate control, digital signage and marble bathrooms with discreetly hidden televisions inside mirrors.

Four Seasons Hotel Toronto will continue to be the place where Toronto gathers and celebrates. With a dedicated building for functions, the Hotel is home to 17 event spaces, optimal for a small meeting or a large gala.

The Spa and fitness centre span 30,000 square feet (2,787 square metres) across two floors and are home to signature treatments and products, suites for two, a hair and nail bar, a heated relaxation pool with adjacent whirlpool, and state-of-the-art fitness equipment, making it the largest luxury urban spa in Toronto and in any Four Seasons hotel around the world.

Café Boulud and dbar by international restaurateur and Chef Daniel Boulud showcase modern French cuisine in a casual Toronto restaurant setting. The loft-like restaurant is located on the first floor and floats above the bar located next to the lobby area. Capturing the sophistication and glamour of Yorkville, dbar’s contemporary design features spectacular 20 foot (6 metre), floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious seasonal terrace.
