Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is setting out to expand taste bud repertoires by staging the inaugural Macanese Food Week at Kable’s restaurant from October 14 to 21, 2011.
Kable’s will offer a menu of traditional cuisine from Macau for both lunch and dinner throughout the week. Specialty dishes such as Macanese egg tarts and African chicken will be available, combining the flavours of Portuguese, Chinese, Indian and African cuisines.
Direct from Macau - Adding to the authenticity of the dining experience, two guest chefs from sister property Four Seasons Hotel Macao at Cotai Strip, Gary Wong and Alex Lim who are trained in Macanese cuisine, are being flown in to Sydney especially for the week to prepare the special menu.
Festival fun - Macanese Food Week at Four Seasons is being held in partnership with the Macau Government Tourist Office’s Macau Festival 2011 at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour taking place from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on October 15 and 16.
The Festival will feature a free program of contemporary and traditional Portuguese dance, lion dancing, song and music throughout the two days. There will also be a host of free activities for children as well as activities for adults, and plenty of Portuguese and Chinese food to satisfy hearty appetites.
