Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest Presents the “Twilight Tour”
If popular books, movies and television are any indication, one might think that the only places vampires bear their fangs are in Forks, Washington or Bon Temps, Louisiana as depicted in popular fiction such as the Twilight series and True Blood.
But stories of the coffin-dwelling creatures have been bleeding into popular history since 15th century Europe. To indulge the dark curiosities of vampire-loving guests, Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest has created the exclusive new “Twilight in Budapest” tour.
Guests can recline in the back of a limo as they enjoy a half day tour of this romantic gothic city, travelling through the cobblestone streets and up a winding hill to Visegrad Castle, where the sadistic Vlad the Impaler — the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula — was kept prisoner for more than ten years. The Twilight in Budapest tour also includes a glass of the red Hungarian wine Egri Bikavér - meaning bull’s blood - the Hotel’s Bar, plus a book or dvd with vampire theme as a keepsake gift.
For those daring enough to take a bite out of Hungary’s vampire culture, the Concierge will arrange this unique and fun tour. Twilight in Budapest is available till the end of July 2012.
