Four Seasons Hotel Denver hosted a ribbon cutting event and opened for its first day of business on October 19, 2010, one year ago this week. In the first year of opening, the Hotel has contributed significantly to Downtown Denver’s economic development, tourism initiatives and community involvement.
“This has been a phenomenal first year for us, and I’m thankful to the City of Denver for welcoming us and for all of our guests - from Colorado and around the world - who have made Four Seasons Hotel Denver their premier choice to stay when visiting the Mile High City,” says Thierry Kennel, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Denver. “I’m proud to say that in our first year of operation, we also have become highly involved in the Denver community.”
Four Seasons Hotel Denver celebrated its opening with a bang on November 6, 2010, with an amazing grand opening party that included headliner OneRepublic and numerous other entertainers. The event raised USD 80,000.00, with USD 20,000.00 given to each of four charities: The Denver Zoo, The Denver Center for Performing Arts, The Kempe Foundation, and the University of Colorado Hospital Foundation.
In its first year of operation, Four Seasons Hotel Denver has been an ardent supporter of numerous charities, donating to countless fundraisers and nonprofit events, with a total in-kind donation estimated at more than USD 200,000.00.
“In the past year, Four Seasons Hotel Denver has not only reshaped our Downtown skyline, but it has also greatly enriched the business community and 14th Street district,” says Tami Door, president of the Downtown Denver Partnership. “Four Seasons has added hundreds of jobs to the local economy, and is a paragon for quality and hospitality – two traits that are synonymous with Downtown Denver.”
Four Seasons Hotel Denver is a member of the Downtown Denver Partnership, VISIT DENVER, and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. Many Four Seasons employees serve on numerous committees for local charitable organisations, ranging from the Men for the Cure event for University of Colorado Cancer Center to the Denver Center Alliance for the Denver Center for Performing Arts.
“We are so proud to have Four Seasons Hotel Denver as part of Denver’s tourism product,” says Richard Scharf, president & CEO of VISIT DENVER, the Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Their commitment to excellence has brought a new element to Denver’s hospitality image around the country and around the world, and we look forward to celebrating many more anniversaries with them.”
