Finnair takes off to Singapore
Finnair opens direct flights to pulsating Singapore today, May 30. Finnair’s daily flights are the fastest connection between Northern Europe and Singapore.
“Finnair’s Asian strategy has worked extremely well,” says Finnair CEO Mika Vehviläinen. “The Singapore route will strongly support our core strategy as well as serving our main target group of customers travelling between Asia and Europe on business.”
Singapore is Finnair’s tenth scheduled destination in Asia. Finnair is the only airline which offers daily connections between Singapore and Northern Europe according to a timetable devised especially for the needs of business travelers.
“The new route to Singapore gives splendid support to Helsinki Airport’s position as the leading long haul hub in Northern Europe,” says Helsinki Airport’s director Juha-Pekka Pystynen.
The route offers excellent onward connections from both Helsinki and Singapore. For Asian customers it opens up connections to the 50-strong European destination network served by Finnair.
