Finnair will begin flying to its summer destinations when the summer timetable starts on Sunday, 27 March. Two brand-new destinations will open, and three leisure flights will become scheduled flights. In addition, two new scheduled flights will be operated with partners.

Finnair’s new direct scheduled flight to Singapore will open on 30 May, and there will be a daily service to the destination all year round. During the summer season, Finnair will fly three times a week from 15 June to another new destination, Murmansk in the Northern Russia.

A direct service to Chicago from Helsinki will also open, when oneworld partner American Airlines starts operating on the new route on 2 May. In addition, Finnair will open on 27 March a new direct evening flight to Aarhuus in Denmark in cooperation with Sun-Air.

The leisure flights to Malaga and Toronto will change to scheduled flights, and they will be flown five days a week. Another leisure flight service, to Nice in France, will also be changed into a scheduled service, operating three times per week.  Immediately after the summer timetable begins, Finnair will fly four times per week to Ljubljana in Slovenia and daily to Gdansk in Poland. The Polish route will be operated in cooperation with Finncomm Airlines, and the intention is continue the flights during the winter season, too.

Of the other familiar summer destinations, there will be a service to Krakow twice per week and to Venice three times per week from 31 March. From 18 April, Finnair will fly a scheduled service to Lisbon on Mondays, Thursday and Saturdays. On 13 May, a scheduled service of two flights per week will begin to Pisa. A service to Bergen in Norway via Arlanda will be operated with three flights per week from 22 May.

The Stuttgart service, on the other hand, will grow from 17 April, when Finnair begins to fly there twice per day, meaning 14 flights per week instead of the present 10. The timetable is ideal for business travellers from Finland to Stuttgart and at the same time creates good connections into Finnair’s entire Asian network. The Stuttgart flights will be operated with Finncomm Airlines’ Embraer 170 aircraft.
