FCM Travel Solutions expands operations in Middle East

FCM Travel Solutions’ Middle East & Africa region has experienced major growth over the last 12 months winning new business at local and regional level with a value of US$75 million.

New corporate clients include Coca Cola Beverages Africa, who operate across more than 14 countries in the region, and luxury fashion brand Prada in the Middle East, itself an extension of Prada’s relationship with FCM in Europe.

The FCM MEA team also won the business of rapidly expanding chauffer drive company, Careem, in over ten markets.

This includes implementation of FCM’s self-booking and mobile technology.

Taking their partnership further, FCM is also the first travel management company in MEA to sign an agreement to offer Careem’s services to its corporate clients.

Supporting the organic growth of FCM’s existing global clients within the region was another major success for FCM MEA, generating additional business worth US$4 million.

FCM MEA helped grow the operations of 16 national and multinational clients including Amadeus, Bosch and Bureau Veritas into new FCM markets.

At the beginning of December 2017, FCM was appointed to manage the global travel programme of Orica in over 50 countries.

FCM MEA will play a significant role in supporting Orica, who are now one of FCM’s largest customers worldwide.

Ciarán Kelly, FCM general manager for MEA, said: “The last 12 months has been a period of transformation for FCM in the region, with expansion and innovation at the centre of our overall strategy.

“Through focussed business development, account management activity and our client success stories, FCM has achieved a strong reputation in the Middle East and Africa region as a travel partner of choice and as a result 2017 was a year of immense growth.

“We look forward to continuing to build awareness and strengthen our presence of FCM across MEA during 2018.”
