FCm continues World Travel Awards winning streak

FCm Travel Solutions continues its reign as Europe’s Leading Travel Management Company (TMC) after winning the World Travel Awards title for the third consecutive year.

FCm accepted the prestigious accolade at the World Travel Awards Europe Ceremony held at Conrad Algarve Portugal.

FCm currently holds the mantle of ‘World’s Leading Travel Management Company’ and earlier this year was also confirmed by the World Travel Awards as the Leading Travel Management Company for the Middle East, North America, South America and Central America.

In 2012 FCm also took out the award for Africa’s Leading Corporate Travel Company.

FCm global leader Gregory Lording said FCm Europe’s three-year winning streak in the World Travel Awards reiterated the company’s market leading position and reputation.

“We were delighted to win the award for Europe for the first time back in 2008, but then to take out the title for a further three years in 2010, 2011 and 2012 is an outstanding achievement,” Lording said.

“This latest award reaffirms the strength of our brand and profile in Europe, and acknowledges FCm’s regional growth and success during the past 12 months.

“The combination of new business growth, high client retention rates and the continued improvement of our services and capabilities has ensured FCm is top of mind for our industry partners and corporates looking to drive more value on their business travel.”

Greenfield

Also today, FCm UK has promoted Jo Greenfield to brand leader.

Her career with parent company Flight Centre spans some 14 years having joined in 1999 as a retail travel consultant in Flight Centre’s London Goodge Street branch.

Rising through the company, Greenfield’s roles have included opening and managing various Flight Centre offices in London, as well as area leadership positions.

Since August 2011 she has held the post of operations leader for FCm in the south east.

Greenfield assumes responsibility for the FCm brand from Steve Norris, Flight Centre’s general manager corporate, who has been taking a hands-on managerial role over the last year.

Steve Norris will resume overseeing Flight Centre’s overall corporate travel operations, FCm Travel Solutions and Corporate Traveller, in the UK and EMEA.

Greenfield commented:  “Our people are our biggest asset. Their proactive approach and ability to leverage the company’s technology to deliver better travel ideas for our customers is what creates the FCm difference.

“I look forward to continuing to develop their potential and ensure they deliver a consistently excellent customer experience.”
