Expo Milano 2015 sells nearly 14m tickets to date

Officials at Expo Milano 2015 have revealed some 13,784,308 tickets to the event had been sold by August 31st.

Meanwhile, August itself ended with more than 3.3 million admissions, bringing the total admissions to 12.2 million since the opening of the universal exposition.

These figures are calculated by subtracting the number of accreditations to the total number registered by the digital readers at the entrances, and eventually adding a four per cent in order to recover admissions not recorded for technical and operational reasons.

August, then, can be considered a very positive month, similar to June.

This was obtained especially in the second part of August, which has been the most successful time since the Exposition opened, boding well for September and October.

Present expectation is that by the end of Expo Milano 2015 the total will be of 20 million admissions.
