The Project to be built to EXPO 2016 Antalya site is specified with a contest. The tower coming in first is in 99 meters tall. The prizes are given in to the ones ranking the highest.
The prizes are given in to the winners of EXPO Tower Architectural Project Contest organised by EXPO 2016 Antalya Agency with a ceremony. Antalya Governor, Sebahattin Öztürk; President of TBMM Agriculture Commission, İbrahim Yiğit; Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Menderes Türel and EXPO 2016 Antalya Agency Management Members, EXPO 2016 Antalya Agency Secretary General and guests have been attended to the ceremony.
52 projects in total have been competed in the competition arranged to determine symbol tower of EXPO 2016 Antalya. At the end of the evaluation that jury members, including Prof. Dr. Nur Çağlar, M. Osman Aydın, Nejat Bayülke, Halime Özsüt Şenol and Işıl Farukoğlu, carried out; 10 projects were awarded prize to 30.000 TL were rewarded to the team ranking third in, 40.000 TL to the one ranking second in, and 50.000 TL to the ranking first in the contest.
Palm Trees and The Hadrian Gate
The project, Serdar Kızıltaş and Zeynep Melike Atay have designed, being inspired from palm trees and historical The Hadrian Gate, were rewarded ranking first and The Governor and EXPO 2016 Antalya Agency Vice President of Executive Board Sebahattin Öztürk gave the prize of these young architectures. The prize of common project of Burçin Akçan Ünal, M. Aydın Avunduk, Arman Yaşa, Özgür Dağlar, Mehmet Yiğit Öztürk and Ömer Karakut who are second in contest were rewarded by Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Menderes Türel.
The prize of the couple of Melis Varkal Deligöz and Mustafa Gökhan Çelikağ who are third in contest were rewarded by President of TBMM Agriculture and Rural Affairs Commission; İbrahim Yiğit, D. Ümit Yücel, Çiğdem Yücel have won first mension; Onur Eroğuz, second mension; Anıl Bütün, third mension; Aytaç Özen-Kadir Atabaş-Müjdat Kadri Atabaş-Oğuz Cavlak, fourth mension; Selim Velioğlu-Erce Funda-Orkun Özüer-Ersan Gömleksiz won fifth mension.
