Experience gourmet celebrations at Peppers Anchorage

Peppers Anchorage, Port Stephens is celebrating their 20th year and stunning restaurant refurbishment with ‘A Gourmet Celebration’ event on 5-7 October.  The ‘A Gourmet Celebration’ event will entice food lovers to experience Peppers Anchorage’s ‘Gourmet Food Trail’ with a weekend full of the best locally sourced food and wine.

The event package includes two nights accommodation in an Anchorage Room, full hot and cold buffet breakfast daily, a gourmet food hamper, a local food trail map for a self drive tour and a banquet of unique dining experiences and events.

The weekend culinary event commences at 7pm on Friday 5 October with a ‘Canapés and Hops’ event in the resort’s Guest Lounge. Here, guests will sample an assortment of canapés and boutique beers from special guest local brewery, Murrays.

After a sumptuous breakfast the following morning at Merretts Restaurant, the resort’s newly refurbished restaurant, guests are encouraged to make good use of their regional food trail map and embark on a self drive tour to experience some of the regions fine fare.

On Saturday evening, guests will savour Peppers Anchorage’s signature degustation menu designed by Executive Chef Luke Carpenter and held on the boardwalk of the resort marina. The six-course ‘Peppers In Season Degustation Dinner’ with feature an array of fresh local seafood, matched with wines by special guest host Nick Stock*.

To complete their ultimate foodie weekend away, guests will enjoy a ‘Produce Market Breakfast’ at Merretts Restaurant on Sunday morning. Local produce suppliers will showcase their home-grown goods on stalls filled with fresh fruits, vegetables and cuts of meat. Chef Carpenter will host the breakfast, providing suggestions for incorporating the produce into recipes.

Event only tickets are also available. Tickets to the ‘Canapés and Hops’ event on 5 October are available, tickets to the six-course ‘In Season Degustation Dinner’ on 6 October and tickets to the ‘Produce Market Breakfast’ are also available
