Evolvi Rail Systems extends Portman partnership

Portman, one of the UK’s leading travel management companies, is extending its business relationship with Evolvi Rail Systems, signing a new four-year contract covering online rail booking and fulfilment for all its clients.

The agreement means that Evolvi, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2015, will continue to provide Portman with a branded version of its market-leading corporate rail platform along with content for its award-winning proprietary e-commerce platform, PortmanOne.

Said John Dick, operations director, Portman: “We are very pleased to be continuing our long-standing relationship with Evolvi.

“It is a system liked by our people and, more importantly, by our clients, not just for its ease of use and constant evolution, but for its comprehensive management information, travel policy options and fulfilment channels.

“The fact that Evolvi is available exclusively to the TMC market is also a big plus point, because we know that the business focus is always on our sector and not on multiple markets and we see this as a significant benefit.”

The EvolviNG system is used by 90 per cent of UK TMCs and is the corporate agency market leader for online rail bookings and fulfilment.

It offers the greatest number of fulfilment options of any online system, augmented by policy options and management information acknowledged to be the most comprehensive of any in the business travel sector.

Jon Reeve, director of trade relations for Evolvi Rail Systems, commented: “In a highly competitive market, we are very pleased to be continuing our relationship with such a strong brand in corporate travel and look forward to introducing Portman to a number of innovations currently in development within the Evolvi platform.

“Evolvi also provides web services integration and support, allowing full rail content aggregation, and this capability is vital to forward thinking organisations such as Portman.”
