Every day well-informed at ITB Berlin

A new source of information for international visitors: with ITB Berlin News, Messe Berlin is launching the first English-language magazine especially for trade visitors and journalists from abroad in 2013. This magazine will provide readers with an overview of information and news items on a daily basis, as well as a review of planned events. ITB Berlin News will be produced by the publishing company Cleverdis.

ITB Berlin News will comprise a total of five editions. The first one will appear one week before the start of the trade show in digital form and the remaining four will be available during the event days from 6 to 10 March 2012 as a printed and online version. The magazine is also available at a total of 100 Berlin hotels. The editorial focus is on daily news from the trade show and the ITB Berlin Convention, facts and figures on different markets, exclusive interviews and dossiers, hotel highlights and “green” initiatives as well as tips for your stay in Berlin.

“The magazine will be a valuable source of information for trade visitors, not least with regard to the important hospitality and travel technology section of the exhibition,” says Dr. Martin Buck, Director of the Competence Centre Travel and Logistics at Messe Berlin. “In addition, readers get an insight into events at the ITB Berlin Convention, seminars and studies. They are also informed about events that they are unable to attend due to their busy schedule”.

“We plan to provide trade visitors with information that serves as an orientation for their decision-making processes”, adds Gérard Lefebvre, President and CEO of Cleverdis. “The magazine will bring greater clarity to a variety of topics and events. We are very pleased that Messe Berlin has decided to launch this format and we are proud to be publishing the magazine.”
