EVA Air launches codeshare route with Turkish Airlines

EVA Air has initiated a codeshare agreement with fellow Star Alliance member, Turkish Airlines on its Taipei–Istanbul route.

The deal marks the first stage of collaboration between these two airlines, which will aim to benefit passengers with a higher number of combined frequencies for better connectivity and increased travel flexibility between these two countries.

Turkish Airlines currently operates daily flights on its Istanbul–Taipei route and EVA air has now placed its marketing code on each of these fights as the first stage of the collaboration.

Next Year, EVA Air will also launch service on the route and the codesharing will be applied as reciprocal by Turkish Airlines placing its code on flights operated by EVA Air.

EVA Air is set to start daily flights from Taipei–Istanbul in 2016 which will allow for further collaboration between the two airlines allowing each to efficiently use Istanbul as a hub for travel to destinations that are even more distant. With the code-shared flights and commercial agreements for beyond Istanbul, EVA Air will offer passengers more convenient access to Europe.
