Eurostar services will remain suspended on Wednesday 17 February between the UK and Brussels

Eurostar services will remain suspended on Wednesday 17 February between the UK and Brussels

Eurostar will continue to suspend all services between the UK and Brussels tomorrow, Wednesday 17 February, because of the serious rail accident involving two domestic commuter trains on Monday 15 February 2010.

The scene of the accident is where the domestic commuter lines and high-speed lines meet at Halle near Brussels.  This means that Eurostar services and other rail services including Thalys, TGV and domestic services are unable to operate on this route.

Eurostar is operating a reduced timetable between its UK stations and Lille.  Services between London and Paris / Disneyland Resort Paris are operating normally.

Passengers between the UK and Brussels are strongly advised to postpone or cancel their journeys.  Eurostar passengers can exchange or refund their tickets.
