Europcar expands electric car options in London with Nissan LEAF launch


Leading vehicle rental provider Europcar UK, is committed to moving its fleet to five per cent electric vehicles by 2020 in line with the mayor of London’s Electric Vehicle Delivery Plan. 

Demonstrating this commitment, Europcar is today launching a new fleet of Nissan LEAF electric vehicles which will be used for delivery and collection of hire cars in the capital. 

The 100 per cent electrically powered Nissan LEAF offers an environmentally-friendly solution to getting around London, as Europcar employees deliver and collect hire cars from customers for added convenience.

Nissan LEAFs will also be available to rent at Europcar branches across the capital, with the advantage of no fuel costs.

“From today customers in London will not only have the convenience of having their hire car delivered and collected to their door but will also have the assurance that we have used the greenest means possible to do so,” said Ken McCall, managing director, Europcar UK Group.
