Europa-Park set to reopen for summer season in April

Europa-Park, Germany’s largest theme park, will reopen its doors on April 1st with a spectacular programme of seasonal events running until November.

The summer season will be followed by a Christmas and winter schedule from November 25th until early January next year.

With its affordable ticket prices, high professional standards and high-tech innovative rides and attractions, the theme park is becoming increasingly popular with visitors from the UK, showing an increase of over 26 per cent in overnight stays for 2016, compared to 2015.

There are 15 European themed areas to be discovered, over 100 attractions and thrilling rides including 13 rollercoasters. 

With the aid of virtual reality glasses, visitors can jump into a virtual fantasy world - such as the Alpenexpress Coastiality VR-Ride - while at the same time feeling the full energy of a rollercoaster ride, with a series of airstreams, centrifugal forces and curves. Using the Coastiality app by MackMedia, smartphone users can also dive into amazing 360-degree animations and experience the thrill of rollercoaster rides at home.

New for 2017, Europa-Park will launch Europe’s largest Flying Theatre: ‘Project V.

This virtual reality ride explores the story of German aviation pioneers Egbert and Kaspar Eulenstein.

It will take visitors on an exhilarating ride through 15 European destinations, through a specially shot ‘flyover’ film and complete with ground-breaking, special effects for sight, touch and sound.
