Eurolines launch new ‘Amsterdam Express’

Eurolines launch new ‘Amsterdam Express’

A new express coach service to Amsterdam launched. The new overnight service has been introduced by Eurolines and will depart London at 8pm daily. It is two hours faster than the standard Amsterdam service - which will continue to run via Eindhoven or Rotterdam.

As recession grips Britain Eurolines saw an 11% growth in coach travellers to Amsterdam in May, demonstrating the continued demand for low cost travel.

Working out at around £1 per hour, the new Amsterdam Express service makes just one brief stop at Utrecht en route to Holland. A fleet of new coaches will run the service featuring extra leg room, reclining seats and air conditioning.

John Gilbert, Managing Director of Eurolines UK, said: “We’ve introduced a new express service to make it quicker and cheaper to get to Amsterdam this summer.

“Coach continues to grow in popularity as passengers look for the best deal possible and we’re meeting this demand by constantly improving the journey. When compared to the expense and time of flying, this new service is exceptional value and delivers passengers direct to Amsterdam city centre.”
