Etihad passengers offered access to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship

Etihad Airways’ has confirmed passengers holding boarding passes for December or January flights will receive complimentary admission to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier has partnered with the tournament to offer guests of the airline free access to the event, which runs from January 26th to 29th, 2012.

Guests may present their boarding pass at the gate of the championship on any given day to gain free entry and to see the golf tournament.

German Martin Kaymer will be back to defend his title and take on the top players in the world, including world number one Luke Donald, major winners Charl Schwartzel (US Masters), Rory McIlroy (US Open) and Darren Clarke (British Open), along with former world number ones; Lee Westwood and Tiger Woods.

Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ chief commercial officer, said: “The championship is now positioned as one of the leading sporting events in the Middle East.”

Etihad Airways is considered the World’s Leading Airline by the prestigious World Travel Awards.
