El Al launches new Israel-Boston route

El AL has launched three direct flights between Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport and Logan International Airport Boston on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The three weekly flights to Boston will operate on a 767-300 Boeing aircraft with 218 seats, including 22-bed like seats in Business Class and 28 seats in Economy Class Plus.

EL AL chief executive David Maimon said: “I am pleased to inaugurate EL AL’s new route to Boston, offering a response to trends and needs in the
business and tourist sectors while also promoting tourism to Israel.”

Flights will depart Ben-Gurion Airport at 00:30 and land in Boston 12 hours and 15 minutes later at 05:45 local time.

The return flights from Boston to Tel Aviv depart on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 21:00 local time and land in Israel on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 15:05 Israel time.

Dan Shapiro, US Ambassador to Israel said: “I am excited about the opening of El AL’s nonstop flight to Boston.

“The route will lead to the growth of economic ties between Israel and Boston, the US capital of high tech and to close relations between the people of Boston and Israel.”
