Leading online travel agent ebookers.com once again was the star performer of the Orbitz Worldwide portfolio, delivering a 58% year-on-year increase in hotel room nights in Q2 this year.
In the second quarter results released by Orbitz Worldwide on 5th August, ebookers’ stood out amongst a strong group performance, which saw solid improvement in gross bookings, transactions and hotel room nights. ebookers’ performance was particularly impressive bearing in mind the travel disruption experienced in the period of April to June, due to the Volcanic Ash Cloud crisis and airline strikes.
