easyJet is marking the inaugural flights of its three latest routes from London Stansted Airport to Marrakech, Sofia and Sharm El Sheikh this weekend.

The three new routes will see almost 3,000 passengers travelling to these new easyJet destinations during this half-term period alone and an additional 100,000 affordable seats available from London Stansted per year.

Hugh Aitken, easyJet’s UK Commercial Manager commented: “We’re delighted to be seeing these three new routes take-off from London Stansted. This latest expansion sees us adding two mid-haul routes, to Marrakech in Morocco and Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh from London Stansted for the first time.

“We’re giving our customers from this region an easy and affordable way to explore the delights of two beautiful and culture rich cities in Northern Africa and the capital city of Bulgaria.”

Year-round flights from Stansted to Sharm el Sheik, Marrakech and Sofia are available from £86.99 and £30.99 respectively at easyJet.com.

Since easyJet launched operations at London Stansted in 1999, almost 14 million people have flown on its services to destinations including Alicante, Belfast, Bodrum, Geneva, Ibiza, Ljubljana, Prague and Nice and the airline has six aircraft based at Stansted.
