East Midlands Trains helps passengers to discover Italy

East Midlands Trains, in partnership with Trenitalia and Trainseurope, is hosting a special one-day Italian rail event at St Pancras International station on Friday 4 June.  As well as raising awareness of the East Midlands Trains international ticket desk where passengers can buy tickets to any Italian rail destination, the day will also celebrate all things Italian with a selection of the country’s wine and nibbles on offer to passengers.

Since its launch a year ago, the Trainseurope desk at St. Pancras has been offering passengers the chance to buy rail tickets for travel to all destinations within Europe, including Italy.  On the ‘Trenitalia’ Day being held on 4 June, passengers will be able to find out more about train travel in Italy and will be able to book their tickets whilst enjoying a glass of complimentary Italian wine.

A special raffle will also be organised, offering the chance to win two pairs of First Class rail passes giving unlimited travel on the Italian rail network for eight days.

The dedicated international travel desk already sells Eurostar tickets and can provide tickets to and within European countries as well as rail travel in popular overseas destinations like the USA, Canada and Australia. In addition, Trainseurope are specialists in worldwide hotel bookings and car hire.

Gareth Leslie, East Midlands Trains’ Route Manager for St. Pancras, said: “Since its opening a year ago, our dedicated desk has proved increasingly popular as we effectively offer a “one-stop shop” providing tickets for the passenger’s entire journey.
