Dominvs Group wins approval for third London property

Dominvs Group, the London-based real estate investment, development, and asset management company, has been granted planning consent from the City of Westminster for a hotel at 233-237 Old Marylebone Road.

The existing six-storey 1990s office building will be demolished to make way for a modern and upscale development.

Dominvs will develop and operate the hotel under a yet to be announced brand.

The boutique, design-led hotel will offer 93 bedrooms across eight floors, as well as providing a restaurant and bar.

The redevelopment has been designed to integrate sympathetically with the neighbouring buildings from different periods and styles that make up this part of Old Marylebone Road.

As part of the design, a new forecourt will be created to highlight the hotel entrance and enhance the existing streetscape.

Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, on behalf of Dominvs Group and the Ahluwalia family, commented: “We are immensely grateful for the hard work that has gone into this proposal by the design team, planning consultants and the local council.

“Dominvs Group is committed to developing high-quality hotel accommodation, while remaining sensitive to the locations in which we build.”

This will be Dominvs’ third hotel development in the capital, with work well underway on the conversion of the former Tower Bridge Magistrates Court into a luxury 193-bedroom hotel.

Known as The Dixon, the hotel will be in partnership with Marriott and part of the Autograph Collection.

The group also had planning consent granted earlier this year from the City of London Corporation for a hotel to be developed on Ludgate Hill, located in close proximity to St. Pauls Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
