Dispatchers Ratify contract between US Airways and the Transport Workers Union

Flight dispatchers at US Airways, represented by the Transport Workers Union (TWU), have voted to ratify the new four-year collective bargaining agreement previously announced on June 15. The new agreement is the second contract ratified by the airline’s 164 TWU-represented dispatchers since the US Airways-America West Airlines merger in 2005. The new contract will extend through June 2015.

“We are extremely pleased to continue our successful partnership with the TWU and the professional dispatch team they represent. This new contract recognizes their important contributions to US Airways and helps ensure US Airways remains well-positioned for long-term success in an intensely competitive industry,” said US Airways’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Doug Parker.
