Regent Porto Montenegro has announced the appointment of Kai Dieckmann as general manager.

Dieckmann joins Regent Porto Montenegro from the legendary Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, where he was positioned as resident manager.

Mark Keith, managing director at Regent Hotels & Resorts commented on this most recent appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Kai on board. 

“He is an experienced, passionate professional, with a true hands-on approach. 

“We know that his experience on three continents, and expertise and understanding across all departments will contribute to the continued success of Regent Porto Montenegro.”

With 19 years of extensive experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Dieckmann has worked for some of the most well-known names in the hotel business – many of whom are members of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World. 

Recent posts include resort manager at Six Senses Yao Noi and executive assistant manager at Soneva Kiri Resort, both in Thailand.

He started his career in Germany, working for many of his native country’s famous hotels, including Brenner’s Park Hotel & Spa and Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg. 

“I’m honoured to be leading a luxury hotel with such a distinct personality,” said Dieckmann.

“When my wife and I first arrived Montenegro, we were immediately amazed by its fascinating landscape. 

“This small but beautiful country still feels almost undiscovered and has everything to shout about.

“Destinations are defined by their people and I love the open and friendly nature of the Montenegrins.

“I look forward to bringing my multicultural experience and inject a bit of it into Regent, to enhance the international atmosphere in the hotel.”
