Delta extends winter weather travel assistance to customers in 12 U.S. States

Delta Air Lines today extended the ability for customers whose flight plans may be affected by severe winter weather across the U.S. Mid-Atlantic, Ohio Valley and Northeast to make one-time changes to their travel schedules without fees through Friday, Feb. 12.  The expanded weather advisory encourages customers in 12 states and the District of Columbia to consider postponing or re-routing their travel without penalty to avoid possible inconvenience.

Customers booked on Delta-ticketed flights to, from or through the following states from Feb. 5-12 may make a one-time change to their travel schedule without fees if tickets are changed by Feb. 13, 2010.

  * Connecticut
  * District of Columbia
  * Maryland
  * Massachusetts
  * Michigan
  * New Jersey
  * New York
  * North Carolina
  * Ohio
  * Pennsylvania
  * Rhode Island
  * Virginia
  * West Virginia

Delta will proactively reduce flight schedules to and from affected airports to minimize delays during the storm, including at its hubs in Cincinnati, Detroit and New York-JFK.

Travel for changed itineraries must begin by Feb. 13, 2010, and changes to origin and destination may result in a fare increase. Any fare difference between the original ticket and the new ticket will be collected at the time of rebooking. Customers whose flights are cancelled may request refunds.
