DB Schenker Logistics now also directly in Iceland

DB Schenker Logistics has opened up its own business in Iceland effective June 1, 2011. Before, the customers relied on the service of a partner. All business is now handled by the new local office in Reykjavik. The new Iceland subsidiary is now representing the global DB Schenker network with 2,000 locations in more than 130 countries.
The focus of the activities is on general Air and Ocean freight. “We intend to play a leading role in global Reefer Logistics with a focus on the seafood industry in the North Atlantic Ocean,” said Ingvar Nilsson, CEO Schenker North AB and responsible for the business in Iceland as Regional Director Europe North.
