Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) today announced the appointment of Chris Bowen to the position of senior vice president, UK & Ireland.

Chris will join CWT on 18 August from Sony where he is currently MD UK & Ireland. Reporting to Andrew Waller, CWT president EMEA and global partners network, he will be part of the EMEA leadership team.

Andrew Waller commented: “Chris brings an impressive track record of results across his many previous roles, including most recently turning Sony UK & Ireland into one of Sony’s most successful territories globally. We are delighted we have found someone so qualified to bring extensive sales, marketing and leadership experience to this market.”

Bowen said: “The fast-moving consumer goods and consumer electronics sector has been thrilling, but travel is one of the most exciting businesses to be in, and I’m really looking forward to combining the view from the consumer perspective with my commercial background to bring the best to CWT UK & Ireland clients.”

Prior to his role at Sony, Chris was based in Geneva where he was responsible for the digital business with Eastman Kodak across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
