Cunard forced to cancel cruise following Queen Victoria power failure

UK-based Cunard Cruises has been forced to cancel a planned voyage after the Queen Victoria vessel succumbed to mechanical failure.

A partial failure in propulsion meant the ship was unable to reach top seeds, with the vessel presently off Portugal.

There is no danger to passengers, with the newt cruise scheduled to go ahead on Thursday.

However, an Adriatic cruise scheduled for October has been cancelled while the ship heads for dry dock in Germany.

Passengers due to depart on the cancelled 16-night Adriatic voyage from Southampton have been offered refunds or transfers to other cruises.

Queen Victoria is due to re-enter service after repairs in Bremerhaven, Germany on Wednesday October 17th.
