Business Travel Market, which takes place every June at London’s ExCel, has announced a raft of additions to its Advisory Board as well as the Education Committee.

GTMC Chief Executive, Anne Godfrey, immediate past President of ACTE, Chris Crowley (BCD Travel), Qatar Airways’ Country Manager UK & Ireland Richard Oliver, Eurostar’s Head of Global Sales Darren Williams and Julia Surry from Airplus International all join the BTM Advisory Board.

Crowley states ‘In only three years BTM has established itself as a growing and important annual industry event. Both BCD Travel and ACTE have strong partnerships with BTM, so I am delighted to be part of BTM’s Advisory Board involved in the event’s further development.’

The education sessions’ content for the BTM Conference is once again being put together by an independent ACTE-chaired Education Committee. This Committee of volunteers draws from vast experience across all industry sectors and roles. They include corporate travel buyers such as: Yves Galimidi (IKEA), Vicky Anderson (Pfizer), Xavier Houart (Atlas Copco) and Emma Delange (Amdocs) as well as Peter Ducker from the HBAA, Barry Fleming of BCD, Deanna Seiffert of HRS and Matt Beck of Reardon Commerce from the industry.

ACTE’s Regional Director Europe Caroline Allen comments ‘Last year’s BTM conference education programme powered by ACTE was extremely well received by Hosted Buyers and trade attendees alike. I am looking forward to our first planning meeting later this month where our volunteer planning team will help identify and select the right subjects to debate at BTM.’

BTM’s Event Director, Paul Robin added, ‘the additions to our Advisory Board and Education Committee ensures BTM will continue to be forward-looking with relevant content leading to another worthwhile event for all participants. It also indicates the high regard in which BTM is held by key industry figures.’

Robin added that BTM is also making three new appointments to its team and these will be announced shortly.

The fourth BTM takes place on 13 and 14 June 2012 at ExCeL London.
