Cosmos selects Amadeus technology

Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, today announces the signing of Cosmos, the UK’s largest independent tour operator.

Amadeus will provide an integrated platform to bring together the booking of flights, rail and cruises on to one system and build a solid foundation for the company’s expansion plans for these areas. The system change will benefit all areas of the business including the escorted touring division, Cosmos Tours & Cruises, as well as mainstream long haul brand, Cosmos Distant Dreams, both of which incorporate scheduled flights.

The successful migration from the existing provider to Amadeus has involved close collaboration with key areas of the tour operator’s business and has been carefully project managed to cause minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
