InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Nigel Conway to the role of vice president, marketing shared services, EMEAA.

Conway will lead a team that will provide a centralised marketing resource across the region, helping to ensure campaigns meet local market needs across all media platforms for IHG’s portfolio of brands.

He will also work in close partnership with the marketing effectiveness team to ensure campaigns deliver for IHG’s hotels and owners.

Menis said: “We are delighted Nigel is joining the team.

“He will play a crucial role in delivering campaigns for our brands that not only drive awareness but also fortify brand loyalty among our guests.

“With his extensive experience and in-depth knowledge across all media distribution channels, we know Nigel will provide strong leadership for our marketing efforts across the region.”

Conway joins IHG from Nestlé, where he spent more than a decade in a range of roles, most recently as global head of media and agency operations, where he oversaw major global media and creative agency relationships and helped markets improve performance in media strategy, planning, and buying.

He also drove change for Nestlé by developing a communications planning framework that helped the business become the leader in digital/programmatic adoption among Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies.

Conway commented: “I am thrilled to be joining a company with such a well-loved and iconic portfolio of brands.

“Managing multi-regional businesses and global media and creative agency partnerships is an area I’m truly passionate about and I look forward to helping IHG’s in-market teams deliver world-class campaigns across such a vast and exciting region.”
