London-based full service communications agency, Black Diamond, has been appointed by Colorado Tourism Office to act as its agency of record in the UK and Ireland following a competitive pitch process.
Black Diamond will position the State of Colorado as a destination where life happens; where there’s a ‘give it a go’ attitude and where there’s an adventure suitable for everyone.
Focusing on the “Come to Life” campaign strategy, a comprehensive programme of activities will be designed to encourage and inspire travellers to visit the State of Colorado.
With a UK focus on Colorado’s myriad festivals and events throughout the year, the agency will create compelling new affinity partnerships to reach a vibrant audience and encourage traffic to their consumer call to action.
“The UK and Ireland represent the largest overseas travel market to the United States, with over two million travellers from these countries visiting the USA last year,” said Cathy Ritter, director of Colorado Tourism Office.
“We look forward to working with Black Diamond and creating new innovations and partnerships to help us market the State of Colorado and to provide travellers from the UK and Ireland with an extraordinary travel experience.
“We are confident that Black Diamond’s combined expertise in the travel industry and marketing will help us reach and welcome even more visitors from the UK and Ireland in the years to come.“
Black Diamond will be working alongside Colorado Tourism Office’s Denver-based advertising agency, Karsh Hagan.
Jim Odoire, director, Black Diamond commented: “We are thrilled to be chosen as the full service PR and representation agency for the Colorado Tourism Office.
“We at Black Diamond have a genuine passion for the experiences and adventure – be it soft or hard – that Colorado has to offer.
“The competition for the representation contract in the UK was extremely fierce; therefore, we’re naturally very proud that we have won this account and we look forward to working with the team in Colorado.”
