Choice Hotels expands in Europe adding 11 properties

Choice Hotels Europe, the company behind the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands in Europe and part of Choice Hotels International, one of the largest lodging franchisors in the world, today announced that it has opened 11 European properties since October 2013 in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Italy.

Five of the new properties are located in the UK and include Comfort Inn Manchester North, the first Choice brand hotel in the North West City.  Others recently added are Quality Hotel Birmingham NEC, Quality Hotel Wolverhampton, Clarion Collection Hotel Buckerell Lodge in Exeter and Clarion Collection Hotel Richmond Gate. Dublin’s gibson hotel also joined Choice’s Ascend Hotel Collection, a portfolio of distinctive independent hotels, providing guests with an upscale boutique hotel experience.

Comfort Inn Westminster, located in London’s prime Belgravia area, joins the network in early March to become Choice Hotel’s 19th property in the UK capital.
Three hotels have opened in France and include Quality Hotel du Golf Montpellier Juvignac, situated near the Southern city of Montpellier and within close proximity to two major golf courses and the tourist attractions of the Mediterranean. The first Quality brand in Northern France, 66-room Quality Hotel Dunkerque is located 20 kilometers to the Belgian border and Comfort Hotel Paris Est Saint-Maur sits on the bank of the River Marne only 30 minutes away from central Paris.

In Italy, the 100-room Quality Hotel Green Palace Rome has become the seventh Choice Hotels’ property in Rome.  Located to the North East of Rome and under 20 kilometers from the city centre, the hotel is metres away from Monterotondo Train Station with its frequent trains to the city and Fiumicino Airport.

Comfort Hotel Friedrichshafen, located in the Zeppelin town of Friedrichshafen on the northern shore of Lake Constance in Southern Germany becomes the 35th hotel in the German portfolio.
