Cheval Residences appoints new marketing leadership

Cheval Residences has welcomed Robert Speirs as its newly appointed marketing manager.

Speirs will be instrumental in positioning Cheval Residences to consumer and business travellers in London.

He has a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector; he joined the Cheval team from Virgin Limited Edition, a collection of ten boutique hotels owned by Richard Branson, where he spent ten years and, prior to this, Robert worked for Marriott Hotels in their Brussels cluster.

During his time at Virgin Limited Edition, Speirs successfully branded and launched five new hotels and their associated food and beverage outlets.

Speirs commented: “I am very excited to be joining Cheval Residences where each property has its own individual character and a truly five-star level of service.

“I look forward to working with the Cheval team and becoming their brand guardian.”

Although originally from the UK, Speirs spent time growing up in Denmark and the US before moving to Belgium in 2000 and returning back to the UK in 2006.

George Westwell, director of Cheval Residences, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Robert to the Cheval family and have no doubt the marketing team will thrive under Robert’s expertise.

“Robert has certainly joined us at a very exciting time as we are continuously looking into opportunities to develop and expand the Cheval brand.”
