Cheapflights comments on BA strike action

Francesca Ecsery, Global Sales Director of Cheapflights Media, comments on the latest announcement by BA’s Unite on strike action:

“This announcement is extremely disappointing if not unsurprising. Unite’s members seem intent on causing as much disruption to the travelling British public as possible and it is a shame they cannot find alternative methods to demonstrate their demands to BA.

“However, as we have seen on previous, similar occasions, BA is now very adept at working around strike action. The airline has promised to operate flights as usual from London Gatwick and City airports, with only some short-haul flights affected out of Heathrow. Affected passengers should check online or with their travel agent before departing for the airport. Any cancelled flights should result in reimbursement or rescheduling.”
