Charles Morris appointed General Manager of The Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi

The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce the appointment of Charles Morris as the General Manager of its newest property, The Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi. Prior to joining The Leela, Morris was General Manager of The Peninsula, Bangkok.

Welcoming the appointment of Morris, Rajiv Kaul, President of The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, said: “I am delighted to welcome Charles to The Leela and look forward to working with him as he manages our newest hotel. Charles brings with him a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry and a reputation for excellence, which I am sure he will put to good use in his new role.”

In his new role, Morris will be responsible for overseeing the opening of the new hotel and implementing high operational standards at the property, which is situated in the heart of the city’s diplomatic enclave and will open in time for the Commonwealth Games.

Commenting on being part of The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, Morris said, “I am thrilled to be joining The Leela at such an exciting time and look forward to leading the team at The Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi as we continue to strive for excellence in all areas of hospitality.”

Morris has more than 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, including three years as General Manager of The Peninsula, Bangkok, where he was responsible for operations and standards, business forecast and marketing, guest relations and community outreach, staffing and human resources. Morris has also worked as Resident Manager of The Peninsula, Manila; Area Director of Six Senses Maldives; General Manager of the Century Club, Osaka; and Vice President of Raffles International Ltd.
