Channel Tunnel resumes rail services

Train services have resumed through the Channel Tunnel after a fire which broke out on a lorry on left thousands of passengers stranded on both sides of the Channel, with all services suspended.

Eurostar resumed services at 08:19 GMT this morning and advised passengers to check in as normal if they were already booked to travel.

The operator said it planned to run a full service on Sunday for passengers with existing reservations, warning of delays of up to 60 minutes as only one tunnel is open.
