CEO of Portman Travel joins board of directors at RADIUS

Michael Hare, Chief Executive Officer of Portman Travel, has been appointed to the board of directors at RADIUS, one of the world’s largest travel management companies.

As Chairman of the Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC) and with over 32 years of experience in corporate travel, Hare is one of the industry’s most respected authorities on corporate travel management and brings a wealth of knowledge to the position.

RADIUS comprises 90 travel agencies in 80 countries around the world with over 3,300 locations. Headquartered in the United States, RADIUS has regional offices servicing the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Hare joined the Portman Travel board as Chief Operating Officer in 2008, and was quickly appointed to Chief Executive Officer in 2009. Portman Travel is a founding shareholder of RADIUS, and under Hare’s leadership, this relationship has strengthened even further. Its membership to the global organisation means that Portman Travel can extend its service to more than 80 countries.

Portman Travel and RADIUS will be a formidable presence at this month’s Business Travel Market (BTM), the conference and exhibition for European travel buyers. Portman Travel is the official travel management company of this year’s event and will be showcasing the company’s full service offering and latest innovations on their stand as well as welcoming all BTM visitors who wish to meet with them.
