Centara Hotels & Resorts announces opening of resort in Bali

Centara Hotels & Resorts has announced that it will be opening the first overseas property of its Centra value brand at Bali, Indonesia, in November of this year.
Centra Taum Resort Bali will be located at Seminyak, on the west coast of the island, within five minutes’ walk from the beach.
The hotel, which is currently nearing completion and is being developed at a cost of USD20 million by PT Graha Multi International, will be operated by Centara under a management contract.
“We are delighted to be opening our first overseas Centra hotel in Bali,” says Gerd Steeb, president of Centara Hotels & Resorts. “This represents strategic growth for the brand and we feel Bali has enormous potential for Centra.”
Properties within the recently-announced Centra Hotels & Resorts brand are within the value category, offering spacious accommodation and Centara-style service without over-delivering on facilities that may be above the needs and expectations of guests.
Chris Bailey, senior vice president for sales and marketing at Centara Hotels & Resorts, says that Centra Taum Resort Bali is a perfect complement to Centara Grand Nusa Dua Resort & Villas, which is due to open in Bali in December of this year.
“This gives guests the option of our five-star Grand brand and our Centra value brand,” he says. “In marketing terms it is a very strong strategy, and for our guests it provides two very distinct and attractive choices, within a wide price band, and both in prime locations.”
Centra Taum Resort Bali will have a total of 90 rooms, of which 53 are deluxe studio rooms at 42-58sqm in area, 27 are two-bedroom at 63sqm, and 10 are three-bedroom at 75-105sqm. Each room will have its own spacious private balcony, and a number of the two- and three-bedroom accommodations will have their own private pool.
The hotel will have one restaurant, one bar, a fitness centre, body and foot massage rooms, and a swimming pool.
