Families looking to take a break over the October half term can still get car hire for £6 a day, according to the UK’s leading comparison site Carrentals.co.uk.

The company says that despite a strong increase in demand for locations such as the USA, Turkey, Cyprus and France for the half term break, bookings for destinations such as Spain and Switzerland have been slower, resulting in lower priced car hire.

A week’s half term car hire at Malaga Airport starts from £6 per day; at Orlando Airport from £14 per day; from £16 per day for car hire at Bodrum Airport; and from £17 per day at Paphos Airport.
