Car-rental reservations climbing in 2015

If car rental reservations are any indication, it appears that businesses have wasted no time getting back to work after the holidays and already are running full steam in 2015. In fact, Enterprise Holdings – which owns and operates the National Car Rental and Enterprise Rent-A-Car brands – is reporting that airport reservations are up more than 10 percent for the month of January.

However, “road warriors” with National or Enterprise reservations have no reason to worry.

“With more than 1 million vehicles in our U.S. fleet – twice as many as any other U.S. car rental company – we have enough cars to honor the reservations of our business rental customers,” said Brad Carr, vice president for Enterprise Holdings. “We are able to strategically manage our fleet for maximum flexibility and responsiveness.”

Enterprise Holdings’ fleet is not only the industry’s largest, but also among its newest with an average odometer reading of less than 16,000 miles and an age of eight months. “Business travelers expect low-mileage rental cars regardless of whether they rent a vehicle at an airport or a neighborhood location,” said Carr. “So our approach to fleet management helps ensure our vehicles continuously meet customer expectations, even during busy times like this.”

Enterprise Holdings gives both small and large businesses the service, value and convenience they expect from the brands they’ve come to know and trust – and also provides the most comprehensive business rental solution in the marketplace. Through more than 6,000 locations within 15 miles of 90 percent of the U.S. population, Enterprise Holdings’ extensive neighborhood and airport network is uniquely positioned to provide customers with unmatched access to new rental vehicles and a renowned customer service experience.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car often is the first choice for business travelers who need to rent near their home or office while providing their company savings.

National Car Rental also has long been favored by road warriors for speed and vehicle choice. In fact, according to Certify.com’s SpendSmart Report – which tracks business travel expense reports – National Car Rental was the most expensed car rental company during third quarter 2014. When the Yahoo.com Travel site queried business travel expert Joe Brancatelli of JoeSentMe.com about National’s strong showing, he noted: “I get terrific service, and their cars are newer.”
